YO-YO

Well it was another close run contest this month, with the lead yo-yoing back and forth between two front runners and the result is…a tie!

Congratulations to Anthony Nanini and S. Sreeni who shared first place. Being a cricket fan I appreciated the surface reading of Anthony's clue and S.Sereni's effort was one of those 'almost' &lits, cleverly executed. Anthony last appeared at the top of the list back in 2016, S.Sereni was there in December 2019.

Hearty congrats to Jane Fitzpatrick, who after a few years of competing achieves her first podium placing in 3rd – a well-structured clue that disguised the often obvious last letters device.

John Hood took fourth place with a clue very similar to one of the joint winners, although his effort was fully &lit – John's second podium of the year.

The final spot went to Vinit with another alternate letters clue, that's Vinit's first podium of this year.

Well done and thanks to all, now on to SOUSAPHONE!
