My favorite is Clue 18. Nice surface reading, and "second entree" is one of the best definitions in the contest. 2nd place to Clue 9, the only one to get RAUNCH-y. Nice deceptive definition.
A question from a US solver: Do composite anagram clues appear frequently in UK puzzles? Some of those submitted here are clever, but I think they'd be nearly impossible to solve! |

| In order downwards 5pts to 1. 22 original, brief and perfectly constructed was my favourite. 56 was best of those using the Herculean idea, amusing. 18 another original idea. 3 and 24. New voting system is very easy to use and no need to check and recheck that I've quoted the correct clue numbers. |
