Six clues seemed to me to have that extra lift –
33 – 5 pts – real emotion there.
50 – 4 pts – it tells a believable story. That 'Tesco' formed a hidden word was especially nice.
5, 10, 23 and 30 – 1.5 points each |

| Some very good anagrams and misleading definitions this month, with 1,22,25 and 33 coming out on top of the anagrams and 30 the best of the charades. I also like 50's surface, but other clues showed a comp. anag. wasn't really necessary. The main problems were poor anagram indicators such as 2's 'dangerous', 15's 'club' and 27's '(FAIL)' |
