Another close fought contest this month, between quite a number of clues! As mentioned in some of the COMMENTS this is probably due to the restrictions in cluing a short word. I do try and set you a wide variety of tasks from month to month, but I think it will be some time before returning to another 3-letter word!
Nevertheless it seems the cream still rose to the top, so many congratulations to Les on his fine win – his first top place!
Commiserations to the chasing pack, Luciano regaining his form and John once again finding a podium finish. Finally to Dave and Robin for completing the top 5.
Voting Information
It is often the case when cluing shorter words that more entrants may come up with the same ideas. First glance of the clues might give the impression that two/three of the clues are identical – closer inspection will reveal there are in fact differences in punctuation, so the CCCWC admin team has decided that these clues should be entered on the list individually, so…
Please award FIVE points maximum to the clue you judge best: FOUR points for second, THREE for third, TWO for fourth, down to ONE point for fifth; but otherwise you may distribute your votes as you see fit including ½ marks for split voting – as long as you award no more than 15 points IN TOTAL and no more than 5 points to any one clue…
…and of course you should NOT VOTE for your own clue!
