Congratulations to John Appleton for a fine win, finding the neatest anagram fodder to use with the hard-to-resist "at sea" anagram indicator! John has taken first place before – but that was back at the beginning of 2014 – so well done indeed.
 
Another John was very close behind in 2nd spot – no stranger to the podium JT crafted a clever clue based on that popular book and film – and 2nd podium in a row for John.
 
Tim displayed his nautical knowledge with his 3rd placing – again, 2nd podium in a row – Tim and John T swapping 2nd and 3rd places.
 
Well done to Toby who achieves his first podium finish with an intricate comp. anag.&lit. Welcome aboard Toby!
 
Predictably that man Dave P could not be dislodged from his regular podium berth! Another back-to-back top 5 finish for these first two months of the new year – looks like the competition will be fierce for 2016!

Please award FIVE points maximum to the clue you judge best: FOUR points for second, THREE for third, TWO for fourth, down to ONE point for fifth; but otherwise you may distribute your votes as you see fit including ½ marks for split voting – as long as you award no more than 15 points IN TOTAL and no more than 5 points to any one clue…
