About this clue type

A ‘Christmas cracker’ consists of a word pair in which the last four letters of the first word are the first four letters of the second, but in a different order. It appears in the grid as a single overlapping entry, with the overlapping part jumbled in both words. The clue comprises two non-overlapping clues, one for each word, in either order, each containing a definition of the original word and subsidiary indication of its partially jumbled form in the grid.
